The Vehicle Inspection Quality Leader
Gordon-Darby’s employees and resources are dedicated to being the best in the
industry. Rather than play “catch-up” as changes occur, we take an active role
in the development of constantly evolving I/M technology. In particular, we
have led the way over the past decade in advancing the state-of-the-art of
emissions testing technology. Gordon-Darby routinely expends considerable time
and resources on research and development (R&D) activities at our corporate
headquarters and I/M development facility in Louisville.
Gordon-Darby has developed
and implemented many technical advances in pursuit of our corporate goal of
being the premier I/M contractor. The pursuit of excellence permeates
throughout all of Gordon-Darby’s activities and is the driving force behind the
actions of all our employees, from the president of the company, to hotline
operators, to individual I/M lane inspectors and service personnel. This has
led us to implement improvements in test processes, equipment specifications,
and quality control procedures in order to keep program operations
contemporary. We implemented these enhancements because we thought there was
room for improvement, although we were not under any contractual obligation to
do so.
The
attitude of being the best and striving for constant improvement has enabled
Gordon-Darby to build an enviable reputation as the leader in our industry.
Just as importantly, it has also resulted in an overwhelmingly positive reaction
from the motorists participating in the programs we operate. It is not possible
to fool the public; they can quickly tell the difference between a contractor
who is simply doing the job for which they are getting paid and one who
genuinely cares about doing the best job possible.
